Yesterday A very experienced racer Shelly Howard and her son Brian Howard were killed in what is being called the worst accident in NHRA history....it happened in Tulsa, Oklahoma....just about 55 miles south of me. She was testing a new dragster and on the 3rd pass the front end caught air and fliped and landed facing the way she'd just come....the engine was still running and the throttle was wide open and it plowed into the trailer where her mentally handicapped son was at......it killed both of them. Her husband was just on the news and is devestated saying "the center of my world is gone"....he said that she had to be atleast unconcious after the flip or she would have killed the engine and throwed the shoot as well as hit the brake. We need to really pray for him....this is a really bad unfortunate situation!!!! I don't have the stations on my tv to watch drag racing but they were part of the racing community so none-the-less I feel the great loss just like every other diehard racing fan does. Tulsa Police say 59-year-old Howard lost control of her car going more than 200 miles per hour and hit the vehicle her son was riding. Both died at Tulsa Raceway Park at 3101 North Garnett Road Saturday nite.   www.shellyhowardracing.com/ |

That is AWEFUL! and Wayne wonders why i dont want him going into drag racing! Anything can happen. |

A guy from where dad works was down there and said it was horrible...said the car was headed right for where he and his wife was a sittin and it scared them so much they ran up into the grand stands. Nah I'd love to watch drag racin in person or on tv but we can't have Wayne in somethin that dang dangerous.....stock car racing is dangerous enough!!!!! |

A guy from where dad works was down there and said it was horrible...said the car was headed right for where he and his wife was a sittin and it scared them so much they ran up into the grand stands. Nah I'd love to watch drag racin in person or on tv but we can't have Wayne in somethin that dang dangerous.....stock car racing is dangerous enough!!!!! well then maybe you can try to talk some sense into him. our friend jay is trying to talk him into going into it, and everytime i say no, jay gets pissed off. Wayne thinks i'm gonna let him anyway....i mean he knows i wont stop him from doing something he loves, but its just too damn dangerous....TALK TO HIM SON! PLEASE!!! |

well then maybe you can try to talk some sense into him. our friend jay is trying to talk him into going into it, and everytime i say no, jay gets pissed off. Wayne thinks i'm gonna let him anyway....i mean he knows i wont stop him from doing something he loves, but its just too damn dangerous....TALK TO HIM SON! PLEASE!!! Get him on here when I am of an evening 8-10 Sun-Thurs....6-10 Fri-Sat. I promise to do all I can to talk him outta it!!  |
