i know most of you arent too fond of police...There are times when i'm not too fond of them myself. But if it werent for police who would you call if someone beat the hell out of someone you love...or broke into yer house?

Police put their lives on the line every single time the step out of their civilian lives into their police lives. They put their lives on the line every time they slip into that dreaded squad car...ya know the one you hate to see in yer rear view mirror with those lights going.
Everytime they pull a car over, they dont know if that driver is going to pull a gun or knife....or even try to run them down. (it has happened)

Coming from a family of police officers, i know what its like for the families of those officers....i know what its like to sit there and hear about an officer being shot in the line of duty and wondering if its my father, praying every second its not. I know what its like when an officer puts someone in jail (who deserves it) just to have their "gang" going after that officer's family.

So next time you see those lights in yer rear view mirror....remember, they are doing their job....and without them, where would we be?

Amen to that!!! Workin with the city I occasionally get to talk with some of the police officers from time to time and I have great respect for them. My boss' (the director of public service) son just recently became a police officer....I quite honestly can say I don't know if I'd have the courage and gutts to become a police officer.....they are great members of society and are to be held in high regard in my opinon!!!!!!!
