Wasnt it Ed King? I know Leon wasnt the "original" bassist. If I remember correctly, and my Angel has given me enough Skynyrd lessons...it went Ed King, Leon, then Ian.

Although it wasn't "officially" Skynyrd yet, it was Larry Jungstrum, he was later let go and Leon was hired, he left briefly and was replaced by Greg T Walker, until he and Rickey Medlocke(drums) left to form Blackfoot. Leon would rejoin but left just before the Muscle Shoals recordings, where Ed King filled in. Again Ronnie was able to persuade Leon to rejoin, which he stayed until his passing in 2001. Ean Evans is the current bass player. Larry(LJ) would soon become a member of brother Donnie's 38 Special where he still currently plays.
