As my text sis under his image.....He was the original "Simple Man" who became a "Free Bird" way too soon. A legacy was left that shall never die and his presence is sorely missed.....an amazing man Ronnie was!!!!!!!!

Amen to that, a true legend who helped influence many a music career, including his two brothers. This one's for you Ronnie, my first and still one fo my favorites I wrote.
The Day the Freebird Was Taken From the Sky
The blond haired singer would prance around
With his band of friends from the west side of town
Stalking the stage with his bare feet
People around thought this band was real neat
Years would pass when they finally hit it big
Thousands of fans would come to see their gig
They would sing along, dance, yell, scream and cheer
While waiting again to see them year after year
Then tragedy would strike—nobody knows why
